Teri started singing professionally at 15 and led her first band in high school. After touring for two years post-graduation, she earned a jazz vocal scholarship at Cornish College of the Arts, studying under notable mentors such as Joni Metcalf, Gary Peacock, Maurice Stern, Julian Priester,  Lowell Roddenberry, & Jerry Gray.

Throughout her career, her jazz roots shine in various musical projects. She founded bands like Hot Pursuit (Motown/R&B) and Red Dressed (Jazz/Blues), later transitioning to gospel and collaborating with artists like Michael Peterson. Teri's passion for singing also extends to teaching, alongside her performing commitments.
